MSOC: Terriers Blank Berkeley, 2-0

WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College men's soccer team defeated Berkeley College 2-0 on Sunday at Smith Field to improve to 4-1 on the season.

Justin Bell (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda) put Thomas on the board in the ninth minute on an unassisted goal. The Terriers went up 2-0 when Zenawi Bowen (St. George's, Bermuda) moved the ball up to Josh Emard (Lebanon, Maine), who crossed the ball across the goalmouth to the diving head of Avian Girard (Castries, St. Lucia) and in the goal to give Thomas the 2-0 victory.

Jonathan Dutka (Durham, N.H.) collected his second shutout of the year, making two saves for Thomas. Dario Cruz Sepulveda got the loss for Berkeley, allowing two goals on five shots.


Thomas will visit the University of Southern Maine on Tuesday, September 11 for a 7:00 PM game.
