WATERVILLE, ME – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has announced its weekly awards and senior guard Tyheem Simon (Far Rockaway, N.Y. / Lawrence) has been named NAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
Simon led the Terriers in scoring for the week, averaging 20 points, 5.7 rebounds and two assists per game, while shooting 48.6% from the floor (18-of-37) and 83.3% from the foul line (20-of-24), as Thomas went 2-1 on the week. In an 80-75 win over Nichols, Simon netted 14 points, gathered seven rebounds, earned two steals and recorded one block and one assist. Simon then posted a game-high 26 points to go along with six rebounds and three assists, while making nine of ten free throws in a 69-64 victory over the University of New England. To end the week, the senior recorded 20 points, four rebounds, and two assists in a tough 72-71 loss to Wheelock.
The Terriers will host Colby on Tuesday, November 22 in a 7:30 p.m. non-conference matchup at Larry Mahaney Gymnasium.
