Women's Tennis Swept by Castleton

CASTLETON, Vermont – The Thomas College women's tennis fell to Castleton University, 9-0, in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play on Sunday morning.

Castleton improves to 7-4 overall while moving to 4-1 in the NAC. The Terriers fall to 2-5 and 2-3 in league action.

In doubles action, Olivia Mora (Surry, Maine) and Irune Arruti Moreno (Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain) came up just short on the one line at 8-6.

The Spartans also swept all six singles positions.  Mora had a hard fought battle at 6-4, 6-4 in number one singles while Moreno dropped a tie breaker in twos 6-0, 3-6, 1-0 (10-7).

The Terriers will return home on Saturday, September 30 as they host defending the defending NAC Champions in Colby-Sawyer at 1:00 p.m.
