WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College women's basketball team defeated Northern Vermont University-Johnson 75-50 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game on Saturday afternoon at Larry Mahaney Gym.
The Badgers took the lead early, holding a 10-4 advantage 3:30 in. Thomas chipped away and eventually tied the score 13-13 with 2:41 to go in the quarter. The teams traded the lead once more, with Thomas coming out of the first with a 15-14 edge. Thomas took command early in the second and held a 24-19 lead midway through the frame. Johnson scored seven unanswered to close out the quarter and regained the lead at 26-24 heading into the break.
Thomas took back control in the opening minutes of the third, taking a 37-28 lead four minutes in. Thomas controlled that cushion through the period and held a 49-39 lead heading into the fourth. Thomas put the game out of reach with a 15-2 run over the first five minutes of the fourth and cruised away with the 75-50 win.
Kaylee Ravagli (Lowell, Mass.) paced the Terriers with 17 points along with six steals, four rebounds and three assists. Addie Brinkman (Farmington, Maine) added 15 points and six rebounds, while Karli Stubbs (Auburn, Maine) chipped in 11 points and five boards.
The Terriers will be off until Saturday, December 29 when they visit Curry at 2:00 PM.
