Thomas Set to Host First Track & Field Meet

WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College track and field team will host the first ever Thomas Outdoor Meet on Saturday, April 14 on the campus of Colby College.

Seven schools from the state of Maine will compete throughout the day, including Thomas, UMaine-Farmington, Husson, Bowdoin, St. Joseph's (ME), Unity College, and Maine Maritime.

The Terriers will have two more events following this weekend with meets at Tufts and Brown University.  The program's status will elevate from the competitive club level to Men's and Women's Indoor and Outdoor NCAA Division III in the Fall of 2018.

"This meet is another huge step for our program," said Head Coach Ian Wilson.  "As we anticipate our move to Division III next year, it's important to have some defining events, and I anticipate that this meet will grow into our signature event.  Our athletes are excited to put all their hard work and dedication on display for Central Maine and the Thomas College community."

All are invited to come out and support the student-athletes as the meet begins at 11:00 a.m.
