GORHAM, ME – The Thomas track and field program competed in their second meet of the season on Saturday, the University of Southern Maine Invitational. The competition was a non-scoring event.
Sophomore Kajsa Kaufeldt had two top ten finishes on the day, placing 10th in the 55 meter dash with a time of 8.30, then took eighth in the 200 meter dash, running a 30.22. Samantha Felbaum finished eighth in the 400 meter dash, running a 1:16.34.
Kristi Hilton took part in three events, placing 14th in the 55 meter dash (9.19), 16th in the 200 meter dash (34.84), and 15th in the shot put (7.65m).
The men's squad eight top ten finishes on the day, including one top five result. Kusow Aden, who took part in three events, finished tenth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.52 and tenth in the long jump (5.52m). William Janakis placed ninth in the 600 meter dash, running a 1:36.73. Cameron Abruzzese was the lone top five finisher for the Terriers, taking fifth in the 800 meter dash with a 2:32.52 finish time.
Thomas will be back in action next Sunday as they travel to Harvard for the Greater Boston Track Club Invitational.
