MLAX: Anna Maria Downs Thomas on Senior Day

WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College men's lacrosse team fell to Anna Maria College 15-4 in a non-conference game on Saturday afternoon at Smith Field.

After Anna Maria got on the board early in the first, Jack Gallagher (Camden, Maine) knotted it up at 1-1 at the 11:51 mark. The Amcats scored three more times to go ahead 4-1 after one. Samuel Haver (Norridgewock, Maine) scored in the second for the Terriers as Anna Maria added three more to go up 7-2 at the half.

After the Amcats scored eight unanswered in the third and fourth, Thomas scored the game's final two goals, with Johnathan Wilcox (Palmyra, Maine) and Daniel MacWhinnie (Lanesborough, Mass.) each netting one.

Damon Westhaver (Damariscotta, Maine) made 16 saves in net for Thomas in the loss.

SENIOR CELEBRATION

Prior to the game, Thomas seniors Jarrod Leonardi (Thomaston, Maine), Harry Heald (Georgetown, Maine) and Benjamin Wheeler (Hermon, Maine) were recognized for playing in their final home game.

Thomas will travel to Husson for their season finale in a 3:30 PM NAC game on Saturday, April 20.
