NAC Men's Lacrosse Preseason Poll Released

WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College men's lacrosse team was selected to finish sixth in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) preseason coaches' poll for the 2018 season.

Defending champions New England College received 62 points and garnered six first-place votes, while Castleton was voted second after claiming the remaining two first-place votes and 58 points. Lyndon took third with 44 points, Husson earned fourth with 37 points and Maine Maritime was tabbed fifth with 30 points.  Rounding out the poll were Thomas (28 points), Green Mountain (15 points) and Johnson (14 points), in sixth, seventh, and eighth respectively.

Thomas will be led by third-year head coach Marsh Gray. The Terriers return four of their top-five scorers with seniors Colby Blondin (Colchester, Vt.), Jacob Kendall (Lewiston, Maine), Michael Small (Brentwood, N.H.), and sophomore Johnathan Wilcox (Palmyra, Maine). Defensively, the Terriers also return senior defender Conner Blair (North Hartland, Vt.) and goaltender Connor Lamberton (Shohola, Pa.). Blondin scored 22 goals and recorded 11 assists for 33 points last season, while Lamberton led the NAC in saves and save percentage.

The Terriers will open their 2018 season on Wednesday, March 7, traveling to Southern Maine.
