WATERVILLE, ME – Thomas College sophomore Bryan Ferris had a career-high five goal in route to a 16-4 victory over Lyndon State College on Monday night in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) men's lacrosse contest.
Senior Jordan Marino kicked off the scoring barrage for the Terriers in the first quarter with back to back goals. The hosts added two more to take a 4-0 advantage into the second quarter. Gunnar Shelton tacked on another for the home side before the Hornets scored three straight goals to cut the deficit to down to two.
The Terriers responded with 12 straight goals, including six within the last six minutes of the second quarter to seal their second conference wins in as many games.
Carlos Cardona recorded the victory between the pipes for the Red and Black, stopping five saves on eight shots, while his counterpart Marcus Bessette suffered the loss.
Thomas held a 58-27 advantage on ground balls and 43-28 edge in shots in the winning effort.
The Terriers will be back on the turf on Wednesday, April 9 as they host conference rival University of Maine at Farmington at 4:00 PM.
