WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College men's basketball team defeated Northern Vermont University-Johnson 69-43 for their second-straight North Atlantic Conference (NAC) win in a row on Saturday afternoon at Larry Mahaney Gym.
The Badgers jumped out to an early 8-0 lead in the opening four minutes, but the Terriers battled back to make it 12-12 four minutes later. Thomas outscored Johnson 28-11 from that point to the end of the half and held a 40-23 advantage at the break.
The teams played an even game in the second half, with Johnson holding a 20-19 edge in the frame, but Terriers pulled away with the 69-43 win.
Lovegeurson Fleurine (Fort Pierce, Fla.) recorded his second double-double in as many games, leading the Terriers with 15 points and 16 rebounds. Michael Gilman (Windham, Maine) scored 14 off the bench, while Zach Mackinnon (Kennebunk, Maine) chipped in 11.
The Terriers will be off until Saturday, December 29 when they visit Salem State at 7:00 PM.
