WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College men's basketball team earned their first North Atlantic Conference (NAC) victory of the season with a 93-69 win over Northern Vermont University-Lyndon on Friday afternoon at Larry Mahaney Gym.
The Terriers jumped out to an early lead, going up 14-2 in the first five minutes of the game. Thomas held their cushion through the first half, eventually building a 46-32 lead at the intermission.
Thomas extended their advantage early in the second, coming out of the break with a 13-6 run that made it 59-38. Thomas held the Hornets away and cruised away with the 93-69 win.
Demetris Webster (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) led the way for Thomas, scoring 20 points with three assists and two steals. Jordan Goodson (Orlando, Fla.) added 16, while Lovegeurson Fleurine (Fort Pierce, Fla.) recorded his first career double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Michael Gilman (Windham, Maine) hit three three-pointers off the bench to chip in nine points.
Thomas will host NVU-Johnson in a NAC game on Saturday, December 8 at 1:00 PM at Larry Mahaney Gym.
