FH: Terriers Take Sixth Sweep of NAC Awards

WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has released its weekly awards for field hockey and Thomas College swept all three awards for the sixth time this season. Katie Taylor (Lebanon, Maine) was named Player of the Week, Tiffany Weeks (Kennebunk, Maine) was named Defensive Player of the Week and Lindsey Gregoire (Kennebunk, Maine) was named Rookie of the Week.

Taylor took two shots, landed both on goal and put one on the boards to score the Terriers insurance goal in a 2-0 conference win over Husson on Saturday. She also led the Thomas midfield that controlled possession with a 14-6 shot advantage in the game. Taylor is now the sixth different Terrier to earn Player of the Week honors this season.

Weeks led the Terriers back line to allow just three shots on goal and three penalty corners in a 2-0 win over Husson on Saturday. She also scored the Terriers first goal and delivered an assist to Taylor for Thomas' second goal. This Defensive Player of the Week award is Weeks' third this season. Gregoire has now been named Rookie of the Week three times this season.

Gregoire picked up an assist in the Terriers 2-0 win over Husson on Saturday, her third of the season. Combined with eight goals, Gregoire has 19 points on the season so far.
